Called Into the Ministry

Romans 1:1-5
[1]Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
[2](Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
[3]Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
[4]And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
[5]By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Are You in Christ Jesus?

    Romans 8:1-12
Are you a debtor to God as you should be? If you are not in Christ then you cannot please Him. If you are claiming Christ then you should understand by this chapter that you are to walk after the spirit. Sin cannot take over you if you are in the spirit. These scriptures make it clear that you are not condemned if you are in Christ. The good news is that the spirit will quicken our mortal bodies. The word quicken means to make alive meaning our spirit is alive in Christ and also while we actively serve God. This is a blessing and verse 2 says we are free from the law of sin and death meaning as we are walking in the spirit the law of sin and death are not condemning us. Verse 8 tells us they that are in the flesh cannot please God which shows us we can grieve the spirit and start to stray away by sinning against Him. If we go astray we are obviously not pleasing God so we are definitely in the flesh. Why do you think God has this scripture here? We are warned to not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

If we focus on the Lord and His will and continue in the faith we can be safe in His hands. Are we resting in Christ?

Exodus 33:14

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

Mark 6:31

“And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.”

Yes, God will give us rest as long as we are following Him and working for Him.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

Galatians Chapter 6

Amen. We must all as individuals that are living for Christ test his own work and bear his own burden. People will fail you but God will help you through those times when you are faithful to Him. Many are on the broad road so there will be very few if any that will follow God. Praise God for giving us the opportunity to serve Him even though we deserve hell. To be in Christ is to follow Him regardless of circumstances. There's a lot to learn on this journey on through life and we must go forward. This is the perfect time to rest in Christ as we seek His will and path for the ministry He has for us. Witnessing to others as the days are short.

Ephesians 5:16

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Are we redeeming the time? Are we busy serving God or being sidetracked by meaningless endeavers that only lead to carnality? Hopefully you are striving for truth and not for worthless causes. If you are then amen and keep striving in the truth found only in God's word.

John 1:12

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

2 Timothy 1:7

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Amen these are promises we can rely on day to day as we go forward preaching the gospel helping them to have spiritual discernment in the truth. This should also be our prayer to have discernment in our decisions and to make sure we are following Him and not man or a man made religious system. Remember, Jesus hates man made religiosity.

Colossians 2:8

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

Matthew 4:4

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

John 8:32

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Matthew 15:3

“But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

Romans Chapter 14

Yes this is something man cannot do for you. You must be fully persuaded yourself that God will lead you and that His promises are true. God will work in your life if you allow Him to. Yes, you must have an open heart and mind towards Christ and the things of God. To be in Christ is to humble yourself and seek Him daily in spite of setbacks. Putting your flesh under subjection and focusing your thoughts toward Him and relying on His promises will only help you to grow in your spiritual walk. May we strive for truth and rely completely on Him even when our flesh wants to rise up.

Psalms 32:8

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

John 14:6

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Proverbs 4:25

“Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.”
This is an encouraging verse to keep going and persevering so that one day you will hear well done thy good and faithful servant.

May the Lord be praised!!
