My name is Jeremy and I have been on a journey to serve Christ. Years ago I repented of my sins and gave my life to Christ but also have trusted in a man made church Sunday religion. I was sincere when I repented and even threw away my rock music and worldly posters. Well, the 2000 I moved to Gary IN to learn the Bible at a small house church and it did help me as I had accountability there but it was still a one man bishop and later became too controlling. I also met my wife there and when I turned 34 years of age we married. After about 3 years of being at this church we decided that the bishop was stepping out of line and we left. We then attended Mennonite churches and also seen very liberal standards and some of them had weird requirements like must have no mustache and other requirements that have nothing to do with christianity. My wife and I then searched online and found Living Faith Christian Fellowship and joined in around 2011. Well after 5 years of being there things were very questionable and I had private meetings asking about things that didn't seem right. LFCF has a false gospel, tying church membership as a requirement for salvation. The bishop talks more about following a program that he made and even claims he is the CEO of the congregation. Favoritism was clearly a problem there and many issues were not addressed. The bishop then comes out with a contract to sign to remain a member and that was the final draw for me. Then my wife signs it against my will and the bishop and his wife convince my wife that I am an unbeliever and that she should'nt follow me. This is definitely getting into cultish behaviour. The Lord has helped me to see the truth about local church membership and how it is unbiblical. I have had a conviction about this and have repented of my carnality for trusting in a man made sytem. I am now serving Christ daily and do not need a man made system to direct me. I am born of God and I now obey Christ as my service to Him.Jesus gives me direction from His Holy Word.
