1 Timithy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
Luke 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]?
First of all let me start out by saying I have had good work ethics instilled in me by my father. But when it came to finances I did not listen to my fathers counsel. I have made a lot of money but have wasted a lot of it on things I didn't need instead of saving. The Lord is helping me learn how to budget and live on less and I know He will help me as I live for Him. After I was married, my wife tried to get me to budget my money but I wanted to feed my flesh with material things. My wife and I had more than what we needed and I did not learn to be content and save. I regret putting my wife through that, but I have repented and am moving forward for His kingdom. I am now on a new journey to live on less and save what I can. I have provided for us but there is more to it than that. God expects us to be good stewards of our money. I am learning to save money by shopping at dent and bent stores to buy groceries, I spent $15.00 and walked out wuth 2 full bags of groceries and most of it was organic. Praise God for His wisdom!
