Laying Aside Every Weight for the Glory of God

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

Amen! What a glorious verse! This is exactly what every christian should be doing. We are commanded to obey the Word and be instant in season and out of season.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

What matters when we are born again is the things of God and if it doesn't matter to you and if you claim the name of Christ then you are just a religious person on your way to hell. You must be born again.

John 3:7
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Laying aside every weight means to lay aside every sin that distracts us from serving God. Let's strive on to know the truth and remember to live the truth is to know the truth. As we read and study the Word of God we can be sure He will not lead us astray. Are any of you out there struggling with sin? It's time to repent with a broken heart toward God.

Psalms 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Proverbs 15:13
A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Yes, the key is to humble yourself and cry out to God asking Him to forgive you for your sins.

Have faith in Christ. John 3:16

Repent and change your mind and your ways. Luke 13:3

You must be born again. John 3:3

Obey God in holiness. Hebrews 5:9

Endure in the faith to the end. Matthew 24

Do all these things from the heart and watch how God can take you and mold you into His image.
Make changes along the way as you learn what is sin and forsake them for the glory of God!!!

I hope you follow Him and forsake all known sin and hold anyone else who names the name of Christ to the test.

1 Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Galatians 6:4
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

May the Lord guide you into all truth. May God be praised!!!
