Memorial Day...Biblical or Not?

Colossians 2:8

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” 

Are you as a christian caught up in this pagan holiday? Are you celebrating death instead of life? Are you following God's commission to preach the gospel as per Matthew 28? As a christian you should be focusing on things above, not things on earth. 

Colossians 3:1

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” 

Matthew 28:18 - 28:20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Macabre is a horrifying depiction of death and injury. Do you really think Jesus wants us to think about death and war? If we care about people dying and going to hell we should be preaching the truth to them, not celebrating the death of many that went to hell. This ia another man made holiday and christians across America are raising the flag to celebrate. This is the product of Sunday man made religion that brings in all the traditions of men. 

Luke 9:60

“Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.” 

This really clears up the matter. This is why we shouldn't celebrate death or go to pagan funerals. As a christian we need to focus on the living, not the dead. 

John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” 

Jesus talks about giving true life to people which is salvation. Amen!!!
