Destryoing My Fleshly Idols

1 John 2:16
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

This is a testimony of  how the spirit of God is working in my life and ALL the glory goes to Him. In one of my videos I had thrown away some worldly clothes but I still had some I was hanging on to. I had an expensive leather jacket and a guitar that was still sitting around the house. I had to come to grips with the fact that I was still holding on even though I wasn't using them. This shows you that stripping the flesh down is not an easy task but is most certainly necessary to be in God's kingdom. I shredded my leather jacket and destroyed my guitar so that I will not be tempted. First of all, why would I keep these idols laying around if I wasn't planning on using them again? This is a very dangerous thing to do and God convicted me of it. This is called cleaning out my house for the glory of God and a testimony as to what He is doing in my heart and life. The Lord uses other true born again Christians in your life to encourage you as well. Praise God!! Can you imagine a man with an alcohol problem saying he quit drinking but yet he still had a full bar in his house? We know that wouldn't work out too well for that man. This stripping away of the flesh is not easy, but when you know you are doing it for God and as a testimony to Him you can have true joy and peace within. This is how you conform to His image. Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

This is a flesh killer and will help anyone seeking truth to keep their eyes on Christ and not on themselves. If you just obey and strip away material things that have kept you in the bondage of sin then and only then can God use you. God is not going to use a sinful, dirty vessel.

Matthew 13:47,48
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
There will be no bad in the Lord's vessel.
2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Wow! God wants to purge us to be a clean vessel unto honor. The question is why aren't the ones that are claiming Christ in these religious Sunday systems doing this? The answer is simple: they are comfortable in their sin because they only need to give God 2 hours on Sunday and one hour on Wednesday and the rest of the week is their time. We know this isn't what God wants and Satan is loving this Sunday church system because he created it and mankind has fallen for this ugly trap. God wants you to serve Him everyday. May anyone reading this be encouraged to kill the flesh and serve Christ.
