Living for God and Not Others

Galatians 1:10

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

Amen! It's a wonderful thing to know that your serving God and not man. I came out of a Sunday man made system where I was trusting man made traditions. The Lord opened up my eyes to the truth and now I have been haply seeking Him.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Amen again! I have confidence that what God says He will accomplish. If our purpose is to serve Him then this verse applies to us. I have been alone for months now but yet I am not really alone, in that I have God and His word. The truth is my flesh loved the religious system because of the fellowship idolatry it enjoyed. I have to say that because of that my marriage wasn't what it should've been. Fellowship with others can destroy a marriage especially because the focus was not on God. I have learned a lot of wrong things in the religious system that were really traditions of men. I was deceived because I was not searching the scriptures to test what was being preached.

Acts 17:11

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

I want to be clear that I did some study of God's word but I didn't test it out enough or didn't take it serious enough. Now I know that you should always test people when they claim to know God. The more you know the scriptures the more you can contend for the faith. We are in a spiritual battle and the world hates God, but the religious people claiming God and leading many astray are under greater judgment. In order to truly live for God you must be willing to forsake mother and father and all past friends that don't want the things of God.

Matthew 19:29

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.”

Are you living for God or find yourself living for a man made religious system? Test yourself to God's word.

2 Corinthians 13:5

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
First: make sure your born of God (John 3:16)
2nd:Repent..change your mind and your ways (Luke 13:3)
3rd: You must be born again (John 3:3)
4th: Obey God in holiness (Hebrews 5:9)
5th: Endure in the faith to the end (Matthew 24)
If you have done this then seek to leave man made ways and to follow God.
